CJC-1295 & Ipamorelin Blend: Reconstitution and Research Reference

Technical reference for the CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin blend: peptide structure, reconstitution math, storage, handling, and in-vitro research considerations.

Research use only. The compounds described here are supplied strictly for in-vitro laboratory investigation. They are not drugs, not supplements, and are not for human or animal consumption.

What the CJC-1295 / Ipamorelin blend is

CJC-1295 is a synthetic 30-amino-acid analog of growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH 1-29), modified at four positions to resist enzymatic degradation in plasma. Ipamorelin is a pentapeptide (Aib-His-D-2-Nal-D-Phe-Lys-NH2) classified as a growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHS-R) ligand.

The two are frequently studied together in vitro because they act on separate receptor pathways. Research literature commonly pairs a GHRH analog with a GHS-R ligand to observe additive signalling in cell-culture models — which is why the blended presentation exists as a single research vial rather than two.

Void Research supplies both compounds strictly as reference materials for laboratory investigation. Nothing on this page is a protocol for human or veterinary use.

Reconstitution math

Lyophilized peptide is reconstituted with reconstitution solution (0.9% benzyl alcohol) for multi-draw work, or sterile water for single-session use. Concentration is simply peptide mass divided by diluent volume.

Worked example: a 10 mg vial reconstituted with 2 mL of reconstitution solution yields 5 mg/mL. On a U-100 insulin syringe, 100 units = 1 mL, so 10 units = 0.1 mL = 0.5 mg of peptide.

Add diluent slowly down the inner wall of the vial rather than directly onto the cake. Swirl — never shake. Mechanical agitation shears peptide chains and is the most common cause of avoidable potency loss in bench work.

The calculator handles the arithmetic for any target amount, vial strength, and diluent volume combination.

Storage and handling

Lyophilized vials: store at -20°C for long-term holding, or 2-8°C for short windows. Protect from light. Sealed, unreconstituted material is stable for extended periods under these conditions.

Reconstituted vials: refrigerate at 2-8°C and use within roughly 28 days when reconstitution solution was used. Do not freeze-thaw reconstituted solution repeatedly — each cycle degrades the peptide.

Shipping excursions to ambient temperature are tolerated by lyophilized powder; that is why material ships dry rather than in solution.

Verifying purity before you use a batch

Every Void Research batch is analyzed by an accredited third-party laboratory. The Certificate of Analysis reports HPLC purity, mass-spec identity confirmation, and batch identifiers.

Before any experiment, match the lot number on the vial label against the COA. If the numbers do not match, do not use the material — request the correct report.

Common questions

Why is CJC-1295 studied alongside Ipamorelin?

They engage different receptors — GHRH-R and GHS-R respectively — so cell-culture models can be used to observe how the two signalling pathways interact rather than either one in isolation.

What is the difference between CJC-1295 with and without DAC?

The DAC (Drug Affinity Complex) variant carries a maleimidoproprionic acid group that binds serum albumin, extending plasma half-life substantially in published models. Material without DAC clears far faster. Check the COA for which variant a batch contains.

How much reconstitution solution should be used?

There is no single correct volume — it sets your concentration. 2 mL into a 10 mg vial gives 5 mg/mL; 1 mL gives 10 mg/mL. Choose the volume that makes your intended measurement land on a readable syringe graduation.

Can the reconstituted blend be frozen?

It is not recommended. Repeated freeze-thaw cycling degrades peptide solution. Reconstitute only the amount of material a study period will consume.
